Our Story
Born from a Shared Conviction
In 2016, a group of women came together and reflected deeply on the status of women, girls, and persons with disabilities in Zimbabwe. They saw the barriers, the silenced voices, and the untapped potential — and felt a profound need to amplify these challenges through advocacy.
That conviction gave birth to the Women and Sport Development Trust — an organisation aimed at facilitating collective, sustainable, inclusive and equitable solutions that improve lives, harnessing the diverse skills and expertise of its people and partners.
Today, WSDT acts as a convenor and catalyst — building collaborative networks, running workshops, facilitating meetings, and providing mentorship and training that empowers women and girls whilst promoting safety in and through sport.
